Well, today I'm sitting in Mike McClung's basement and working with him and the rest of the band on booking, design and everything else. We've been here since 10am because we want to work on this stuff everyday and somehow make a living off of it. The album release show Mourning After played on Thursday went really well, probably our biggest show in Spokane ever. Thanks for all you guys coming out to it. If you like our stuff or feel like supporting, you can buy the new album at stores or at our shows.
Thanks Ian and Mike for putting up with my wise cracks at the release show, you know I love you guys.

Oh yeah, MA played with Death Kills Time at a frat party last week, and let me tell you it was fun. Nothing like seeing Bob booty dance or Matt drunk off his ass. Keystone Light never tasted better.

What the hell is wrong with me? I've been drinking vodka since 3:30 this afternoon. I guess it's because I'm in Mourning After, but Andi made me do it, so it's not really becase of Mourning After. Andi drinks like a pro and gets me wasted every time. We're sitting at my house with my sister and Jordan, and after 2 1/5 of Vodka and some beer I can hardly type... damn I'm good. I have to go now, so love to all the scenesters and friends.

This weekend was a good one, and a crazy one. Lets just say it got a little wild and Ian left his pants and shirt in my car (call me sometime baby)... JK OMG LOL WTF. Anyway, I can't believe that the Fall and Kiss and local boys got jumped last night! I always wonder if I'd fight like a man or start crying and beg for mercy, I hope I'm around next time somebody gets mugged.

Now that I don't have a job and all I do is band stuff, I'm begining to see how my days arae going to be when I'm not out on the road. Wake and have Andi skip some school to visit me, and then think about smoking but not really smoke much, and then E-mail a bunch of venues for shows... That's what I've been doing all week, and I don't think booking ever goes away. I'm really excited about MA's album release show on May 13th. If any of you want some of those free tickets just call me or e-mail me and I'll get you one.
I just made a myspace account for Mourning After, so my band mates can try and pick up chicks even more. My band used to be completely computer illiterate, and now they can't get off it. We have accounts on Friendster, myspace, livejournal, msn and god knows where else.
I just took some new pictures of myself from Andi's palm pilot thing, so I'm going to go and figure it out.

Last night I went to Nick Gatman's (AKA the Apartment) and we were supposed to have a party or something, but it was actually lame and so we went to Will Brash's house instead, where we ended up listening to drunk Right Turn Danger, Camera Flash Kiss, and I think Ian and Jeremiah tried to do some Awesome Miami stuff. Ian humped a lot of people as usual, and I ended up drinking to much and kissing Scott Sisco... I've been drinking way to much lately, almost every night for at least a week, so I think I'm going to cut back before I call myself an alcoholic like Andi does :) Anyway, I'm really exited that Mourning After is going to have their Album Release Show at the Big Easy on May 13th. I hope I see you all there. Ok, see you later.

Sitting in my room at 5 pm with my girl, andi, and we have been partaking of sweet russian necter. Prince Alexis is changing our reality. This weekend I played in Moscow, IdaHO and we played at a Greek restaraunt and a frat house. Both shows were cool, we played each one with correta scott ( www.corretascott.com ) I think that they are honestly the best new local band. This weekend can be described by the murder city devils "drinkin' when i should be sleepin', sleepin' when i should be waking up" I love you guys. Andi is typing this for me (hi guys) because i am drinking in the afternoon. i have a reputation to keep up because i am in mourning after. k

Hey everyone, I haven't really updated my live journal in a while, so I thought that I would give you all an update on me.
Mourning After is just about done with our recording of our new album "Waiting for Our Lives to End." I think that you all will like it a lot, even scensters like Ian Judd (my favorite scenester). The album starts off with hand claps, so get ready for some rock and roll. It's about 3:30 or 2:30 in the morning, and I just got back from some beer drinking by the river (a favorite past time of last summer) and it was a lot of fun, bought a lot of PBR for 10 bucks and got loaded, and now I'm about to go to bed, because I've got meetings tomorrow for band shit.
My girl Andi is in Germany right now and I miss her, but I talked to her tonight and it sounds like she's going to have a lot of fun there, wish I was there with her.
I know that Ian is in Seattle right now, probably saw the Red Light Sting this weekend, and I hope that it was everything he hoped it would be... damn scene kid :)
Just a question, but has anyone heard Coretta Scott yet? New band in town and they sound really good, check them out at www.corettascott.com. Hardest working band in Spokane by far.
Anyway, it's my bed time now, so I'l talk to you all later...

Well, it's about 10:30am and Mourning After is going into record in about an hour and a half with Lee Stoker. Today is all about getting Drums and Bass down, then for the rest of the recording I get to sit around, drink beer and yell at people. I can't wait.

Andi made me a live journal and so I'm going to update it. Now I can share secrets here that I shouldn't say, but say them anyway. Then I can talk mad shit about people I'm mad at, and not have to look them in the face. My indie street cred just went up about 10 points with this journal, so I'm officially "Scene" now, even though I don't listen to the Red Light Sting or know anything about Lightning Bolt.
Now for a real post: My band Mourning After will be recording on Monday with Lee Stoker, and it should be a good album, we're all really excited about it. We are playing this Saturday at the Detour, and are playing with Barely Burning, Derby and Ever We Fall from Portland. Hope to see you all there.
